Three honest rules for a rare name
- Check the trajectory, not just the rank. A rare name that is climbing fast will not stay rare.
- Say the full name out loud. Initials and rhythm matter more with an unusual first name, not less.
- Rarity is local. A name rare nationally can be common on your street, and cultural roots show you where it lives.
